So last month’s post from Tommy about his favourite whisky serves has gone down so well, we’ve chosen another of Birmingham’s booze elite to give you a recommendation. Roll up Carl Hawkins (A.K.A The Gintleman) to recommend a top whisky inspired sipper.
What’s your name:- Carl Hawkins – The Gintleman
What do you do and where do you do it:- Tutored Gin tastings from 8-100 guests for House parties, wine shop and restaurant collaborations, corporate networking events around the U.K. Click here to find out more.
What’s your favourite whisky inspired gin and why have you picked it:- My top tip for a whisk(e)y inspired gin is 9 Moons from Martin Millers. This is a limited edition bottling using the signature Original expression (which kickstarted the modern gin Renaissance with its launch in 1999) and has been rested for 9 months in first fill ex-Bourbon cask. This is aged in Iceland, the source of its water, which is then used to reduce to bottling strength to give an exceptional gentle and smooth, soft vanilla and spice taste profile and aroma of sweet oak
Where can you buy it and how much does it cost:- This is available from Master of Malt as a 35cl bottle at £46.95.
